Corrected captions

What it does
Turns natural spoken Arabic into correct captions, timed word by word.
What I built
faster-whisper for timing, correction against the approved script, and right-to-left captions burned in with FFmpeg.
Result
The raw transcript and corrected captions below come from the same take. An older version rewrote dialect into Modern Standard Arabic.
Technical details
- Correction keeps each segment’s timing, so captions stay in sync after words change.
- Fixed by hand the timing of words Whisper had squashed together.
- Correct Arabic shaping and right-to-left order through libass.
- The older version: Claude rewrote Gulf dialect into MSA while keeping the timing.
